Rare and Exotic Cats

The HIGHLAND LYNX cat breed has been developed from two feral/domestic hybrid breeds, crossing DESERT LYNX cats (a bobcat hybrid) and an African Jungle Cat hybrid (with curled ears).

Essentially, DESERT LYNX have straight or curled ears.  These are muscular -- males 15-20 lbs., females 10-12 lbs. -- longer hind legs, toes and ears may be tufted, long and short hair, long and short tails.  Some say they love to retrieve toys.  They are intelligent, active and get along well with cats, dogs and children. 

HIGHLAND LYNX are an absolute delight -- affectionate and outgoing to people they know.  a new cub needs longer to adjust to a new environment than a domestic breed.  They are very active but not curtain climbers.  They are usually not very vocal.

Always look at the pedigrees for a pet cat to make sure it is at least three generations removed from the bobcat to remove the feral nature of the bobcat.
